Why you should take this course

What do Steve Jobs, Richard Branson, Gary Vaynerchuk, and Jack Ma all have in common? They all, on-demand, use their voice to captivate audiences. It doesn’t matter where that audience is, whether its online or offline, whether it’s at a press conference or in a small meeting room – more often than not, these personalities inspire others around them to be more through stories. How do they do it? There’s an icon inside each and every one of us, waiting to be unleashed. There’s no such thing as “special”. The world is waiting for your brand to tell its story, so stop pitching and start engaging. Brand Storytelling today is a pivotal part of relationships, marketing, communications and business. As we’ve evolved into a Digitally Disruptive world, brands have shifted from “features” to “emotions”. According to a study done in North America -- 46% of CEOs in 2017, stated that they don’t feel comfortable telling others a story. What does that mean? It simply means that till today, a chunk of senior executives still feel that Brand Storytelling is about fables, marketing hype, or misrepresentation to the customer. If that’s the case in the west, what do you think is happening here in the East? What a lot of senior executives as well as start-up entrepreneurs fail to understand today is how stories can & have always been used for centuries to strategically build a brand’s loyalty, its advocacy and trust in the market. You will learn how to put together brand messaging that resonates with your audience and helps them to make more relevant decisions. It isn’t just about money. It’s about your customer’s lifetime value. The most effective way to maintain that lifetime value for yourself is by creating authentic & timely value for others, i.e. your customers, your partners, your investors. You will learn techniques for delivering these messages with impact, power, influence, and most importantly, heart.

“Everyone, and I mean everyone is a salesperson; there’s no denying that. What you need to understand is that Sales was NEVER about pitches and logic. It’s always been about stories and emotion. Somewhere along the way, you and I forgot that. It’s time we got back to being storytellers; because It doesn’t matter whether you’re a doctor or a CTO, whether you’re a Multi-national or a Start-up – at the end of any decision that your customer makes, is a story”.

What you will learn

Storytelling 101 — Beyond the Fables

We start off with breaking all the fables and myths around storytelling. This course contains a lot of interaction and role-play and so does the first module. You will immediately practice storytelling to profile yourself. The question that will be answered here is: "What type of storyteller are you?". You will also learn what a TED(x) speaker makes a storyteller by default and how they practice their speaking and performance.

From BMC (Business Models Canvasing) to SMC (Story Models Canvasing)

You will learn all there is to know about BMC and SMC, how to apply it and the importance of it. You will understand the role of emotional intelligence and eloquence in story telling, and the life-skills that build your stories as well as the storyteller. Finally you will learn why E.Q is a leader’s strongest quality in today’s digitally disruptive world of devices & calendars.

Knowing when and how to use eloquence and when not to

In the third module you will learn how public-speaking, body language, rapport play a crucial part in being an effective story-teller and the six best practices that build the best sort of stories (from experts from all over the world). We top it off with introducing you to ten growth-hacks that will accelerate your confidence to become a storyteller worth listening to.

Role-play — Feeling & feeding off your audience’s emotions in order for them to truly connect with you

To become a good brand storyteller you need to know when and when not to use a story to drive home a point or an idea. We end this course with role-play — feeling & feeding off your audience’s emotions in order for them to truly connect with you. You will understand the difference between corporate storytelling and brand storytelling and how your stories need to compel action in others, otherwise they’re just fables.
